Jay M Boyar

Jay Boyar's columns, reviews and articles about film and travel have appeared in such publications as the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Orlando Sentinel (where he served as movie critic), the Chicago Tribune, Newsday, Us Weekly, Variety and the New York Daily News, among many others.

Boyar's film reviews have been featured nationally on MSNBC, E Entertainment Television and The Daily Buzz, as well as on National Public Radio affiliates, including Orlando's WMFE-FM. He has also reviewed movies for WESH-TV/Channel 2, WKMG-TV/Channel 6 and Central Florida News 13, all in Orlando. He has been a juror for the American Film Institute and is a co-founder of the Florida Film Critics Circle.

The author of Films to Go: 100 Memorable Movies for Travelers & Others and a contributor to Reel Romance: The Lovers Guide to the 100 Best Date Movies, Boyar teaches film analysis in the Burnett Honors College and the Film Department of the University of Central Florida. He has also taught at Rollins College, the University at Buffalo and Medaille College.
