Margaret Mary O'Keef

Over the past two decades Peg O'Keef (birthname Margaret Mary O'Keef) has become a staple of Central Florida regional theatre. O'Keef attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida where she was active in the theatre department, though she claims she "couldn't get cast in a dog show" while she was a student there. O'Keef went on to earn her MA at Ohio State University and return to Central Florida where she was instrumental in founding Orlando's Theatre Downtown. Her performances in Central Florida's theatre have been critically acclaimed, especially her portrayal of the sardonic Martha in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Today, O'Keef continues her involvement in local theatre and teaches in the Theatre Department of her alma mater, Rollins College and in the Film Department of the University of Central Florida.
